Working with small business owners, I get the pleasure of meeting amazing people each and every day. One such individual who deserves some recognition is Hingham photographer Sarah Hinchey. Each year, as we prepare to highlight inspiring local business women in the fall issue of South Shore Home, Life & Style, we call upon Sarah to ensure that each individual feels and looks fantastic.

While most of these women have plenty of confidence when it comes to their jobs, they’re not always comfortable being in front of the camera. These nerves melt away, however, when Sarah and her talented hair and makeup artist Lisa Grisolia work their magic. In the few years we have worked together, I have heard numerous rave reviews from her photo subjects, so much so that I recently decided to swallow my own fear of the camera and book a portrait session. Blessed with a kind manner and impeccable photography skills, I now fully understand what everyone was raving about.

Sarah explained it to me this way: “I believe that the way we see ourselves is the way we treat ourselves, and it is my mission to help every person I photograph see that they are perfect, exactly the way they are right now.” I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and so happy that we can share this experience with an amazing group of South Shore women each year.
